Most homes around Charlottesville need gutters cleared at least twice a year: once after the leaves are mostly down in late fall, and again in spring after the seeds and pollen. Homes under big oaks often need a third pass.
Clogged gutters overflow down your siding, soak the soil around your foundation, and in a cold snap they freeze into ice that pulls hangers loose. A clean gutter run and free-flowing downspouts prevent all three.
Leaves on the lawn are their own problem. A thick wet layer left through winter smothers grass and leaves bare patches in spring. Blowing leaves out of lawns and beds once or twice in the fall, and hauling them away, keeps the yard healthy.
We do gutters and leaves in the same visit: clear and flush the gutters, blow out the lawn, beds, and driveway, and load everything onto our trailer so nothing ends up in bags at the curb.
